Modern day warriors: Where are they?

I was watching a movie the other night. During the previews was the trailer for Troy and it got me thinking.

Where are all the warriors? Throughout history there have always been those men who lived for the thrill of battle. The Vikings, the Romans, the Trojans, the Mel Gibsons!!!

You see them sprinkled here and there. Ray Lewis, Brock Lesnar, men whose intensity and athleticism is unmatched. And, for that, they stick out and shine.

They welcome the hit, back down from nothing, and charge like a bull on the attack.

Wouldn’t it be great if there was a sport packed with nothing but Brock Lesnar and Ray Lewis type  warrior-athletes?

Well my friends, look no further than Rugby. Watch these videos and I’ll meet up after.

Yeah, these are the modern day warriors. These Australians, New Zealanders, South Africans, Brits, etc. literally have warrior bloodlines. The Maoris of New Zealand inspired the All Blacks’ pregame haka war dance.

Now if only I knew what channel Rugby was shown on. Most likely a Fox Sports Net Australia or something like that.

All I know is, you search “all blacks highlights” on youtube, and you are entertained for hours.
